Regulatory Affairs Scientist

Our client is a well-established chemical organization based in the Northwest region, currently seeking an experienced QA/Regulatory Affairs professional with several years of experience, ideally within the chemical sector.

The successful candidate will hold a degree in chemistry or a related discipline and have 3-5 years of experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 quality environment.

Principal Responsibilities

  • To prepare and maintain regulatory documents for submission to regulatory authorities, including collecting, reviewing, and managing manufacturing and other supporting documentation.
  • To collaborate with regulatory authorities and counterparts to ensure compliance and effective communication.
  • To stay up to date with legislation related to the manufacture, labelling, transport, and supply of products to ensure full compliance.
  • To have experience in areas such as REACH, CLP, Safety Data Sheets, and Dangerous Goods Notes (DGNs).
  • To handle submissions for independent approvals from organizations like WRAS, KIWA, DVGW, and similar entities.

Required Skills and Abilities

The Senior QA/Regulatory Affairs Scientist should demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively under pressure.
  • Strong skills in conveying technical concepts both verbally and in writing.
  • Capability to engage with clients on technical matters.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Solid numeric skills and computer literacy.
  • Enthusiasm and aptitude for identifying and solving problems.
