We are seeking highly skilled Accountants to join our finance team, with multiple roles available for both permanent and contractor positions. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You will play a key role in providing financial insights to help drive business decisions.

This role is ideal for individuals with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid background in finance. We are offering flexibility in both permanent full-time roles and contract-based opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against forecasts.
General Ledger Maintenance: Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns, tax computations, and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
Audit Support: Assist with both internal and external audits, ensuring all financial information is accurate and readily available for review.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Cost Control & Analysis: Provide financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve business performance.
Payroll Processing: Support or manage payroll processing to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
Financial Systems & Processes: Implement and maintain financial systems and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reporting.
Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Ensure that the company complies with all relevant financial regulations and provide regulatory reporting as required (e.g., Companies House submissions, statutory accounts).
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
Organisation: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Workday, Oracle, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
Knowledge of Financial Regulations: Up-to-date knowledge of UK tax laws, HMRC compliance, and financial regulations.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities or business needs.
Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications & Experience:

For Junior/Entry-Level Roles:
1-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
Part-qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA).

For Senior Roles:
4+ years of experience in accounting, with a proven track record of managing financial accounts and reporting.
Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with strong post-qualification experience.
Experience in preparing statutory accounts and working with external auditors.
For Both:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
