Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to fulfil a full time, permanent position within a local specialist school in Winchester.
The school is a small school located within the lovely area of Winchester, known for its welcoming environment, where children feel safe and nurtured. The classrooms include elements to enhance the teaching and learning of the children within, providing them with opportunities to develop both academically and practically using a variety of teaching methods catered to each pupil. The staff at the school are all passionate about education, and ensure to provide personalised delivery of learning to foster to each child's growth and development.
As the Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for the assistance of both pupils and class teacher, working one-to-one or with a small group of pupils, supporting them with their learning. You will aid the Class Teacher in supporting the delivery of the lesson content, whilst adapting your support methods to best suit the individual needs of the pupils. You will contribute to creating a positive learning environment and often help with displays and classroom organisation.
The salary for this role is currently set at £12.82 to £14 per hour depending on experience.
For this role, you will be/will need:
- Experience as a Learning Support Assistant desired, and SEN experience is essential
- Passion for working with children and keen to help where needed
- Right to work in the UK
