Leisure Operations Manager - Circa £26,000+excellent benefits - Brierfield, Pendle, Lancashire

We are looking for a Leisure Operations Manager for a fantastic community leisure centre offering a host of activities including indoor sports, climbing, gym and fitness classes, activity camps and kids' parties catering for all corners of the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, develop and manage reception team, cleaning team and Duty Manger to be the best they can be every day.
  • Take responsibility for health and safety, cleaning and day-to-day operations of the centre to ensure the highest standards are maintained.
  • Work with key stake holders to ensure the delivery of activities and programmes run smoothly and customers have a fantastic customer experience.
  • As a key holder, work a mixture of 9.30am-5.30pm and 1.15pm- 9.15pm shifts during the week and prepared to work one in three or four weekends 9am-6pm.
  • Deputise for the General Manager in their absence.

Person Specification:

  • Outgoing customer focused individual who enjoys supporting and helping others.
  • Key holder and operational management experience within a similar sports, leisure, fitness or hospitality environment.
  • Experience in leading, supporting and inspiring teams, possibly as a Duty Manager, Team Leader, Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager or Head of department.
  • Has a working knowledge of health and safety within a leisure or hospitality venue.
  • Able to reliably commute to Brierfield in Lancashire each working day.
