Job Title: Fire Safety Officer

Location: Whitechapel

Salary: £31.86 hourly PAYE/£41.09 Umbrella

Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday (Hybrid with a min of 3 days on site)

Temporary: 3 months with the possibility of extension

We are currently seeking a Fire Safety Officer for a temporary position based in Whitechapel, London. If you have a strong passion for fire safety and expertise in the field, we want to hear from you! As a Fire Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our client meets all Fire and Building Safety legislation requirements.

What you will be doing:

  • Carrying out inspections and overseeing remedial works to reduce the risk of fire to all housing stock
  • Assisting in the creation of specialist fire engineering reports and Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs)
  • Managing projects and technical works in the housing sector
  • Negotiating with stakeholders and providing assurance
  • Solving problems and ensuring compliance with fire safety standards and legislation

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A strong knowledge of fire safety and technical expertise in building surveying
  • The ability to be on site for at least 3 days a week
  • A technical qualification in the field
  • Extensive knowledge of fire safety standards in the housing sector
  • Up-to-date knowledge of legislation and industry standards
  • Broad technical knowledge of building construction across a wide range of asset archetypes
