**Job description

  • Deliver engaging and effective Design Technology and Food Technology lessons to students up to Key Stage 4/GCSE level.
  • Develop and implement high-quality lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs and learning styles.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
  • Effectively collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure student well-being.
  • Maintain a well-managed and safe classroom environment that encourages a productive learning space.
  • Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
  • Participate actively in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the overall development and improvement of the school's Design Technology and Food Technology curriculum.

**Requirements

We're looking for you, if:

  • You hold a relevant undergraduate degree in Design Technology, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • You possess UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or are working towards obtaining QTS.
  • You have a proven track record of successful classroom teaching, demonstrating engaging lesson delivery and classroom management skills.
  • You possess strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Design Technology and Food Technology.
  • You are committed to safeguarding children and promoting their well-being.
  • You are willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with students and colleagues.
  • An interest in engineering is highly desirable.
