Purchasing Administrator - Are you an organised, enthusiastic individual with a background in administration wanting to work within a busy Purchasing department?

We are looking for a Purchasing Administrator for our client who is a leading distributor of chemicals.

Working as a key member of the group, you will be part of the UK Purchasing department expediting Purchase Orders and ensuring the system is kept up to date with accurate delivery information.

This Purchasing Admin role involves...

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers both in person and over the phone.
  • Ensuring orders arrive at the warehouse with all correct documentation.
  • Responding to stock enquiries from our Sales Teams.
  • Working closely with our warehouse to resolve any damaged / missing deliveries.
  • Collating information regarding suppliers' delivery performance.

Your background...

Must have:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Good organisational abilities and be able to work both on your own and as part of a team.
  • Office experience.

Bonus to have:

  • Purchasing experience.
  • CIPS Qualification.
  • Experience working within a Purchasing / Procurement team.
