Art Teacher (Maternity Cover) – Full Time – Mainstream Secondary School in Wigan
Cover People are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Art Teacher to cover a maternity leave at a thriving mainstream secondary school in Wigan. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher to inspire students and foster their creativity in a supportive learning environment.
Role:
- Full-time Art Teacher (Maternity Cover)
- Location: Mainstream Secondary School in Wigan
- Start Date: November 2024
- Contract: Temporary, maternity cover
Responsibilities:
- Teach Art across KS3 and KS4, following the school's curriculum
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire creativity and artistic expression
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and support learning objectives
- Work collaboratively with the Art department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
- Participate in school activities, parent evenings, and relevant department meetings
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Previous experience teaching Art in a secondary school setting is desirable
- A passion for teaching and the ability to engage students in creative activities
- Strong classroom management skills
