Job Title: Price Governance Lead

Locations: Manchester (flexible)

Role Overview

This role is for Atlanta Group, part of the Markerstudy Group.

As a Pricing Governance Lead, you will Lead the development and delivery of pricing governance processes and controls to provide fair outcomes for customers and reduce risk, whilst ensuring the team remains dynamic in delivering pricing solutions to meet Markerstudy's strategy. This role requires a large element of managing processes and championing governance processes across the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and continuously develop effective and efficient governance processes and controls within the Pricing Team
  • Set a high standard in ensuring that all team members follow quality assurance processes and manage risk adhering to all relevant policies.
  • Have and maintain an extensive knowledge of regulations, ensuring pricing strategies result in fair customer outcomes.
  • Ensure pricing governance reporting is robust and timely.
  • Recognised pricing governance expert
  • Continuously evaluate methodologies, understanding how governance frameworks fit into the wider piece, and identify how they can be improved.
  • Ensure that the utilisation of new data has been through adequate governance controls.
  • Awareness of Markerstudy strategy, with an appreciation of commercial delivery
  • Effectively manage processes that require inputs from multiple areas.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • A strong awareness of analytical concepts
  • Significant experience of working in the insurance industry
  • Extensive knowledge of regulations that affect Pricing.
  • Proven experience of developing and implementing governance controls which protect customers.
  • Familiarity of applications that are used in the team e.g. Emblem, Radar, SAS, SQL, R, Python, machine learning.
  • A track record of using market leading techniques in a creative way to solve business problems.
  • Confidence in presenting technical and non-technical information in a variety of mediums to clients and colleagues. The ability to communicate to senior management level is critical.
  • Experience of developing and/or managing others
  • Good understanding of pricing and business strategies
