JUNIOR MACHINE LEARNING ENGINEER

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Machine Learning Engineer to join a scaling MedTech company. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge cloud-based technology, developing machine learning models to analyse clinical imaging data and improve diagnosis and prognosis of complex heart and lung diseases. The successful candidate will be part of a team that is transforming the way we use clinical data to enhance patient lives.

What you'll do:

As a Junior Machine Learning Engineer, your primary role will be to support the team in developing and validating machine learning models. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to model research and development, as well as assist in integrating these models into a production pipeline. Your work will involve developing discriminative models for classification, semantic segmentation and object detection in lung CT scans. Additionally, you'll help build more advanced models using self-supervised learning, image generative models and multi-modal models. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn and hone your machine learning skills in one of the most exciting areas of application.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in deep learning and computer vision
  • Proficiency with Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Jax, TensorFlow)
  • Comfortable with Linux-based operating systems
  • Experience with git
  • Ability to produce production-ready Python code
  • Experience with machine learning model types: Image semantic segmentation, classification and object detection, Self-supervised or unsupervised learning in computer vision, Image generative models, Multi-modal models (image, text, clinical data)
  • Experience with medical imaging: CT, MRI, histopathology radiography, ultrasound.
  • Experience with a cloud-based environment like AWS or GCP
