Job Requirements of this Special Educational Needs Teacher job in Handsworth

  • Lead a class of 9 pupils, with SEN and behavioural challenges, supported by 4 Teaching Assistants.
  • Encourage applications from EYFS, primary, secondary, or post-16 education backgrounds.
  • Seek candidates showing reliability, positivity, and proactive problem-solving, with resilience and commitment to children's rights.
  • Welcome qualified teachers with experience working with children, aged 3 to 19, facing social, communication, and emotional challenges.
  • Require minimum 6 months' UK school experience, extensive SEN experience.
  • Dedication to pupils' needs, resilience, ongoing professional development, teamwork, self-awareness, ethos promotion, priority management, confidentiality, safeguarding, equality advocacy, equal opportunities awareness. QTS required.
