Description
- Lead a large multi-skilled production workforce, ensuring the delivery of a range of products and solutions according to complex and demanding programme plans.
- Develop and maintain strong, high-profile customer relationships, positioningthe business as a trusted and valued partner within the supply chain.
- Identify dependencies, stakeholders, and risks, and prioritize workloads across multi-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, and Project Management.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety, Manufacturing, and People processes while delivering maintenance programmes and upgrades within departmental budgets.
- Drive continuous process and efficiency improvements through the adoption of emerging technologies and data analysis.
- Engage and lead a highly unionized workforce, fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking work environment.
Profile
- Inspiring leader with a strong focus on workforce development, engagement, safety, and wellbeing, driving business performance.
- Experience in high-rate production with an emphasis on process optimization, automation, and digital technology in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven operational leadership of multiple teams, particularly in a unionized environment, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Track record in production/manufacturing transformation with technological and cultural change, ideally within the Automotive or Aircraft Design & Manufacturing sectors.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across broad internal and external networks, ensuring seamless integration and communication.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to manage and resolve customer issues efficiently, enhancing reputation.
- Experience managing large teams across diverse activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Degree or equivalent in Operations or a related discipline, with a deep understanding of project management, integration processes, and IT business systems.
Job Offer
£85,000 to £95,000 plus car / car allowance, bonus and benefits.
