Learning Coach

Service Care Solutions are looking for a Learning Coach to working in the Crewe area on a permanent basis.

Location: Crewe

Job role/responsibilities:
The Learning Coach will support apprentices in developing the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours for their apprenticeship. This includes coaching, mentoring, and teaching sessions held in our Perivale classroom and workshops. Responsibilities include teaching in both environments, providing guidance, and conducting mock end point assessments to prepare apprentices for their final independent assessment.

  • Fulfil teaching commitments in both classroom and workshop settings.
  • Manage and maintain a caseload of learners, conducting regular interventions.
  • Ensure timely and effective evidence capture for learning, achievement, funding, and Ofsted, including meeting 20% OJT requirements.
  • Help learners achieve their highest possible grade in EPA and progress using OneFile by setting targets for Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours.
  • Create individualised learning programs with employers and learners, including Maths and English, based on initial assessments.
  • Engage and collaborate with learners' line managers to provide support, guidance, and learning opportunities.
  • Plan and prepare learners for end point assessments with employers, incorporating practice into the learning plan.
  • Deliver accurate marking and feedback, motivate learners to achieve qualifications on time, and support their development, particularly in Maths, English, and ICT.

Knowledge/experience required:

  • Relevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications (at a level 3 or higher than delivery)
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths, and ICT or equivalent, or willing to undertake.
  • Ability to deliver high quality, effective coaching that meets learner needs.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and interactive teaching in the workshop to meet learners needs.
  • Excellent level of skills in written and oral and presentational areas, understanding the importance of focus on the audience to support learning.
  • Ability to plan, paying attention to detail and a track record in developing and delivering robust, effective, prioritised plans which achieve KPIs and strategic aims.
  • Proactively drive learner performance and engagement
  • To be customer focused, having the ability to present Total People in a positive manner, persuading and influencing where necessary.
  • Seeks continuous improvement - seeks to improve processes and implement and embed changes.
  • Teaching qualification Cert ed/CTTLS/DTTLS
