A leading real estate investment firm is looking to hire a Financial Accountant into their London team. The company is looking for a qualified or part qualified accountant with industry experience or moving out of Audit for the first time (FS clients). The role is 5 days a week in Central London and is a socialable, non-corporate working environment, providing a number of attractive benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Reviewing quarterly management accounts, financial statements and other documents produced by fund administrators and assisting with the financial statements preparation process
- Taking ownership of the accounts payable process including logging invoices and initiating payments
- Preparing sales invoices for management fees
- Preparation and submission of basic VAT returns
- Review of corporation tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Using accounting software (Xero) to record day-to-day transactions for the fund manager/investment advisor
- Preparation of year end management accounts of the fund manager/investment advisor and assistance with the year end audit.
- Assisting with the year-end Fund audit process as the point of contact between the audit team and fund administrators, and assisting with collating information requests and providing calculations/support
- Assisting in the financial management of the portfolio companies on an ad hoc basis
- Assisting with investor drawdowns and distributions
- Liaising with external depository team to ensure regulatory compliance of the funds
- Setting up bank accounts
- Setting up companies and relevant VAT and corporation tax registration
- Collating KYC requests for service providers
Requirements:
- Understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified (or close to completion)
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, investors and service providers
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft excel and word
