Reed is working exclusively with a leading client of ours, they have vast operations across the UK and Europe with a list of globally recognised clients as part of their project portfolio. They have expanded vastly into new markets, now seeking a junior Structural Engineer to support their exciting new projects!

We're seeking a skilled individual to assist our Structural Engineer in providing technical support and assurance across our product ranges. Responsibilities include independent and collaborative work on site-specific calculations, guiding the design process. The successful candidate will contribute to live projects and product development, enhancing our existing range. Value engineering exercises will also be part of the role. Salary: £35,000

Full time, permanent

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To provide a range of calculations to support our design proposals, to identify necessary amendments and to assess impacts to the proposed solutions.
  • Undertaking integrated modelling, preparing calculations, reports, specifications and drawings.
  • Provide input into risk assessments and method statements/O&M manuals as appropriate.
  • Task management and delivery to the highest standards, demonstrating all round technical competence and financial awareness.
  • Prepare client and project proposals, including feasibility studies.
  • Production of Internally & Externally facing Reports.
  • Support the Westgate Global Product/Materials Testing Programme.
  • Requirements to attend occasional site meetings and site inspections.
  • Support the production of Temporary Works Designs and Design checks.
  • Support work winning activities and the estimation team by ensuring the suitability of our proposed products and solutions for a potential client's site environment.
  • To contribute to the standardisation of our products, as part of a development team.
  • To undertake tasks and projects as allocated by the Structural Engineer.

Qualifications

  • Required: Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
  • Required: Degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering
  • Preferable: Master's degree in Structural Engineering
  • Support towards Chartered Status will be provided.
