Interim Financial Controller

Think Accountancy and Finance are looking for a technical and hands on interim Financial Controller to support a global business based on the outskirts of Hemel Hempstead.

Being part of a start up new business within a well-known global brand, the CFO is looking for someone who can come in and support wherever needed. It is definitely a hands-on role that requires a good technical accountant who is both solution focused and optimistic.

This is a varied role and will include month end reporting, looking after AP/AR issues and working with the sales team to recognise when revenue can be recognised. You will be willing to jump in and support wherever is required.

With the wider company getting ready to implement a new ERP system, the successful candidate will play a part in supporting the implementation process.

Someone with private business background would be a great fit.

Key role responsibilities:

  • Managing the month end process
  • Working with the Finance Business Partner to create forecasts for key stakeholders
  • Support the Group audit with the provision of IFRS information for the consolidation
  • Monitor treasury requirements of multiple legal entities
  • Support the integration of acquired businesses
  • Support the implementation of the new ERP system
  • Year end reporting
  • Process implementation

What the client is looking for:

  • Qualified Accountant with 5+ years PQE including work within industry
  • Strong understanding of IFRS specifically around revenue recognition and consolidations
  • Statutory accounts preparation under IFRS
  • ERP system implementation experience
  • Experience within a Financial Controller role
  • Experience having worked for a private company
  • Excellent communicator
  • Problem focused
  • Optimistic in personality
  • Tenacity and attention to detail

This is an interim position and therefore we will only consider candidates who are on very short notice.

The position offers hybrid working from their office based in Kings Langley. The position will be around 9 months long and potentially could run longer.
