Shipping Procurement -Terminal & Port Services - (3 days office, 2 days WFH)

Professional Experience:

  • Experience: At least 3+ years of experience in operations within the maritime, shipping, or logistics industries, with a preference for experience across multiple European regions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong operational and commercial awareness, particularly in Terminal and Port Services, Marketing/ Trade, Procurement and Operations.
  • Vendor Management: Experience in negotiating and managing relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Cost Management: Proven ability in cost optimisation, budgeting, and identifying cost-saving initiatives.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Analytical and Methodical: Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain working relationships at various levels internally and externally.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and to lead workgroups effectively.

Personality Traits:

  • Detail-Oriented: This role requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in managing procurement processes and maintaining records. Given the heavy focus on numbers and excel spreadsheets, attention to detail is imperative.
  • Proactive: We are looking for someone with a proactive mindset, focused on continuous improvement. The ideal candidate should take initiative and be confident in sharing ideas, especially when identifying and implementing process improvements.

Proficient use of Microsoft Office and Excel / Google suite advantage.
