Finance Assistant - £27,000 - £30,000 – (office based) Waterlooville, Hampshire

Trace Recruit is delighted to be supporting the Finance Controller of an Event Management company located near Portsmouth, who is on the hunt for a Finance Assistant.

Our client solves challenges, create connections and build communities. They are constantly changing, learning and growing and are looking for an energetic and driven individual to join.

About Your New Role:

  • Support with the day-to-day transactions of the business and support the Finance Controller.
  • Raise and process invoices.
  • Journal invoices to the correct month – adding to accruals/prepayments schedule.
  • Daily bank reconciliations.
  • Manage data exports – checking, coding and preparing to import into Sage.
  • Processing and allocating payments.
  • Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct.
  • Expense management – upload all statements, approve transactions and check against correct system.
  • Work with the projects team.
  • Deal with any queries that come in.

Your Skills & Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organisational, time management and relationship skills.
  • A couple of years' experience in a similar role.
  • Good admin.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to detect mistakes.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Comfortable working with Excel and spreadsheets.
  • Experience using Sage would be useful but not essential.
