Reed Further Education are currently registering English Lecturers who are looking for work for next academic year Sept 2024. They will deliver mainly English up to level 2 to students aged 13-16 and/or 16-19 years old.
We are working with a college based in the Bordesley Green area. The roles are temporary ongoing during term times and hours can be part-time and full-time depending on availability at the college.

Salary: £26 - £30p/h including holiday pay
Day to Day of the role:
- Prepare and deliver engaging GCSE English lessons tailored to students.
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment to facilitate learning and student engagement.
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to handle challenging behaviour constructively.
- Assess student understanding and progress, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
- Collaborate with educational staff to develop teaching materials and strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum level 3 qualification in English or a related field.
- Teaching qualification i.e PGCE, AET, Cert Ed, etc.
- Experience teaching GCSE or Functional Skills English.
- Proven ability to manage challenging behaviour and foster a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, resilient, and passionate approach to teaching.
