Neighbourhood/Housing Officer PERM: East London

Are you an adept, adaptable, and dynamic Housing Officer seeking employment with a distinguished Housing Association in the vibrant East London area? Adecco Housing is in search of a seasoned Housing Officer for a permanent role to deliver an extensive range of Housing Services throughout their property portfolio and be responsible for delivering essential services to their residents.

Working within a small organisation means that you will have the unique opportunity to understand, and shape, the Association and make a real difference to the organisation and the tenants.

INTERVIEWS ASAP - SALARY £36.5-£40,000 (Depending on Experience)

35hrs a week, Flexi working from Home Fridays

The successful candidate will embody the vision, values and ambitions of an ambitious housing association and motivate the organisation accordingly.

Key areas of focus are rent collection, estate management, tenancy management and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities withing the team:

  • Deliver an efficient and effective generic housing management service to the Association's customers in line with policies and procedures, Key Performance Indicators and Service Standards;
  • Take ownership of Housing and Customer Service needs and be solution orientated to provide excellent customer service at all times to both internal colleagues and external customers;
  • Ensure that customer's needs and problems are identified at the earliest possible stage and that prompt action is taken to respond to these needs to prevent escalation of concerns or problems;
  • Seek out and develop partnerships that will provide benefits for both the Association and customers:
  • Liaise with contractors, council departments, social services and other relevant bodies on resident needs such as arrears management, and repairs and maintenance issues
  • Managing around 200-300 Properties

Experience:

  • Highly developed negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to act effectively
  • Cross team and partnership working
  • Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure
  • Great written and verbal communication
  • Effective liaison with staff/other stakeholders to give information/ find information/ resolve problems
  • Organisation and ability to time-manage workload
  • Able to deliver a high standard of customer service

Essential:

  • Knowledge of housing legislation and current practice;
  • Be able to work proactively under own initiative;
  • Perform a whole range of generic housing management functions (voids management, sign-ups, estate inspections and fire safety checks)
