Job Overview

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the expanding mechanical engineering design team in London. This role is ideal for a professional eager to further their career and contribute to the management and development of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare designs for the full range of mechanical building services.
  • Write detailed specifications.
  • Supervise the installation of mechanical and associated specialist services on-site.
  • Coordinate and prepare design intent/detailed design drawings.
  • Review 'as-fitted' drawings and operating and maintenance manuals.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of health and safety plans and files.
  • Execute troubleshooting exercises related to energy consumption and internal conditions, including surveys, reports, schedules, and feasibility reports.
  • Prepare planned maintenance specifications, procedures, and contract management reports.
  • Manage the delivery of electrical building services on projects.
  • Maintain client relationships to secure repeat business.
  • Financially manage and report on assigned projects.
  • Actively participate in the development and advancement of team members.

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Building Services Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent (preferred).
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software tools such as Cymap, ProDesign (Amtech), DIALux/Relux, Cyspace, Revit/MagiCAD, Navisworks.
