A hugely successful, rapidly growing fin-tech company are looking for a Lead Developer to inspire and work closely with an established, small development team across a few user-friendly platforms. Have you got what it takes?

What experience you'll need

  • Plenty of experience developing APIs with Laravel.
  • In-depth knowledge of Laravel framework, components, and tools.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Experience integrating Laravel APIs with front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue.js).
  • Strong understanding of API design principles, RESTful architectures, and web standards.
  • Familiarity with PHP web server environments and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Experience with unit/feature/E2E testing frameworks.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git, GitHub).
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

What you'll be doing

Lead and motivate a small team of developers, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Conduct regular 1:1 meetings to provide guidance, support career development, and address individual needs. Manage the release and deployment strategy, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features. Partner with stakeholders and senior staff to define specifications and scope for new initiatives. Work closely with UX/UI Designers and their CTO to translate product vision into technical solutions. Champion a "can-do" attitude and problem-solving approach to overcome technical challenges. Proactively share technical expertise and best practices with the team. Lead by example, maintaining a positive and solution-oriented mindset.
