Bid Manager

We are currently looking for a Bid Manager to expand our industry leading bid writing team. This team are key in securing new, sustainable, and profitable work in the public sector and this role is to work within our Bid Team to manage multiple complex bids.

Reporting to the Head of Tenders, you will have real and rare opportunity to join a highly ambitious, expanding private equity backed business with significant career value.

Main Duties include:

  • Managing the timeline and production of multiple consecutive bids to ensure all are completed to the highest quality within the required bid windows.
  • Coordinating a team of bid writers to support with the completion of bids
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on the ITT responses written by the bid team
  • Supporting with bid/no bid decisions
  • Writing and delivering compelling presentations to potential customers
  • Performance management of a team of bid writers
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Producing regular training for the teams continually development

Essential experience and skills required:

  • Ability to succeed under pressure to meet tender deadlines
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite
  • Self-motivated to ensure every tender you manage is of the highest possible standard
  • Experience in both writing and managing high volumes of bids
  • Ability to drive results
  • Excellent time management skills
  • A close attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable knowledge and skills:

  • Experience line managing a team
  • Experience within the language services industry
  • Educated to degree level or relevant qualification e.g. APMP
