THE ROLE
As a Grade 4 Teaching Assistant TA in Barnsley, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future. This will include working under the guidance of a teacher to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day. This includes:

  • Getting the classroom ready for lessons
  • Listening to children read
  • Helping those who need extra support
  • Preparing resources
  • Completing records
  • Leading small and whole class group work

THE CANDIDATE

  • Experience in a school or similar setting
  • IDEALLY experience working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs
  • MUST be educated with GCSE Maths and English
  • NVQ L3 qualification/ working towards or willing to undertake
  • Car Driver with access to vehicle

SALARY/ HOURS Salary for a grade 4 Teaching Assistant is £18,844 - £20,158 actual annual salary working 33 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust please visit the website.
