Personal Advisor
Leaving Care - Barnsley
We are currently recruiting for a Personal Advisor to join the Leaving Care service in the Barnsley area. The main responsibility of this role is to work with care experienced young people aged between 16 and 25 to ensure that they are full equipped and prepared to navigate their way through to adulthood.
Details
- 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Initial 3 month contract, with the possibility of extension
- Hybrid available - 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home
Responsibilities
- You will provide practical support where appropriate
- Signpost young people to other services
- make timely decisions and implement pathway plans with achievable goals
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with:
- An excellent ability to build rapport with young people and their families
- Excellent assessment and analytical skills
- You will support care leavers across Barnsley so you will need to be able to travel across the borough.
