Position: School Caretaker & Building Supervisor
Location: Primary School in Worksop
Academics is looking for a dedicated School Caretaker & Building Supervisor to support a primary school in Worksop. This is a long-term contract starting ASAP, covering long-term sickness, with the potential for a permanent position.
Role Responsibilities:
- Key Holder: Responsible for opening and closing the school; may need to attend the premises outside normal hours.
- Site Security: Ensuring the security of the school grounds.
- General Maintenance: Performing maintenance tasks and ground keeping.
- Health & Safety: Keeping health and safety records up to date.
- Unscheduled Tasks: Responding to unexpected tasks as they arise.
- Collaboration: Working with outside agencies and contractors as needed.
- Teamwork: Collaborating closely with the School Business Manager and other staff members.
- Non-Resident: This is a non-residential position.
- Training: Education and training will be provided by the school, including an induction.

- Team Player: Able to build good relationships with staff, parents, and students.
- Experience: Ideally, have previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
- Checks and References: A DBS check and relevant references are required.
