About the Role
Base Location: Keadby Power Stations, Scunthorpe
Salary: £55,200 - £83,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

After a recent promotion SSE Thermal are looking to recruit an Engineering Lead in Scunthorpe. The Engineering Lead will support the expansion of work and Keadby 1 and 2 CCGT Power Stations and will have a number of key responsibilities, including.
- Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Engineering Lead will provide a comprehensive, professional engineering service to the site. Ensuring that the safety, reliability, flexibility and efficiency of the plant and equipment is maintained to meet the Company's requirements.
- Management of Engineering, Maintenance and Construction projects.
- Delivery of projects in alignment with the SSE and station strategies including financial justification preparation, specification, procurement, implementation and commissioning.
- Contribution and management of Keadby's key goals on health, safety, environment, availability, efficiency and flexibility.
- Management and delivery of station outages ensuring compliance with SSE outage governance processes.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Degree level or equivalent qualification/experience in an appropriate engineering discipline, supported by experience of power or industrial plant engineering or maintenance.
- An understanding of customer and supplier relationships and looks to continuously improve these.
- Proven ability of projects/outage development and management, ensuring safe working methods are established and maintained.
- A detailed appreciation of the asset management and business processes necessary to operate, maintain and control power or industrial plants.
- The ability to deal with evolving priorities, whilst being well organised and commercially aware
