FINANCE OFFICER

An exciting position has arisen for a part time Finance Officer to work for an excellent Educational Charity based in Central London. The postholder will be responsible for clearing a backlog of invoices and assisting the Finance Manager in general finance admin duties.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accurately process supplier invoices, ensuring they are correctly matched with purchase orders and goods received notes
  • Support with scheduling and processing payments, ensuring that suppliers are paid on time, and managing any queries related to payments
  • Accurately processing documents for payments to suppliers within set timescales
  • Ensuring and checking that all payments have been properly authorised
  • Responsible for reconciliation and checking of supplier statements
  • Managing key supplier accounts to ensure timely payments and prevent interruption of supplies
  • Managing the Accounts Payable inbox efficiently
  • Carrying out other finance admin duties

Successful candidate profile:

  • At least 3 years experience in a similar finance role
  • Experience with month and year end procedures
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
