Job Title: L&D IT Specialist

Reporting to: L&D Director

Location: Leeds – Hybrid role working two days office-based

Hours: 37.5

Salary: circa £45,000 per annum

Role Purpose:

Working within the L&D team, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating IT systems training programmes to enhance the technical skills and proficiency of individuals within the organisation. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our people remain updated with the latest technologies and tools, thereby contributing to the strategic priority of using IT solutions to drive client excellence.

Main Responsibilities:

Training and Development: Create IT training programmes and materials tailored to the specific needs of different departments or job roles within the company. This includes creating course overviews, lesson plans, presentations, and supporting documentation.

Training Delivery: Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions and workshops on our internally developed IT systems, external software, and applications either through virtual platforms or in person with occasional travel to their other offices.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with the IT department, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to identify training needs and priorities.

Candidate Essential Experience, Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as an IT Trainer or in a similar role, with a strong background in designing, delivering and evaluating technical training programmes.
  • Good Stakeholder Management skills with the ability and experience to question/challenge key Stakeholders in the organisation.
  • In-depth knowledge of various IT domains, platforms, and tools, along with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and accessible manner.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Proficiency in instructional design principles, learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia authoring tools.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products such as (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) you'll also have an excellent understanding of the wider M365 suite and MS Teams.

Candidate Desirable Experience/Qualifications:

  • Formal training qualifications would be desirable
  • Experience of working within professional services / service background (including medical sector/ NHS)
  • Broad technical understanding of IT software systems, including time recording and document management.
