About the Role:

Are you ready to make a significant impact in a dynamic and growing financial environment? Our client is seeking a talented and driven Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join their expanding finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of Treasury & Regulatory Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing their regulatory reporting functions. This is a unique opportunity to develop your expertise and work closely with senior management, including the CFO and CRO, while contributing to the automation and accuracy of their financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Treasury Management:

  • Oversee daily cash management activities, ensuring efficient fund utilization and maintaining liquidity levels.
  • Prepare and distribute ALCO packs, ensuring timely delivery and accurate minute capturing.
  • Generate ad-hoc treasury Management Information (MI) reports for daily monitoring and ALCO meetings.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Risk, and key stakeholders to support capital and liquidity management.
  • Assist in implementing a Treasury Management System (TMS), documenting business processes, conducting user acceptance testing, and managing BAU activities.

Regulatory Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit regulatory returns (PRA, FCA, BOE) ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain working files for return preparation and monitor the regulatory timetable for timely submissions.
  • Work closely with Finance, Treasury, and Risk to support capital and liquidity planning and reporting.
  • Develop and operate the regulatory reporting system (OneSumX) effectively.
  • Document procedures and assumptions for the Regulatory function.
  • Assist with reviews by second line and internal auditors, implementing recommendations as needed.
  • Conduct monthly horizon scanning for regulatory changes, assessing impacts, and communicating them appropriately.
  • Interface with Regulators and Internal Audit to address queries and data requests.

Year-End Reporting:

  • Assist in reviewing disclosures in Annual Accounts impacting capital and liquidity.
  • Aid the publication of the Bank's Pillar 3 disclosures.

Prudential Documentation:

  • Contribute to refreshing ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery & Resolution plans, and Exit plans annually.
  • Assist in producing ICAAP, ILAAP, stress testing, and cashflow modelling.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Accounting or CFA qualification (other relevant qualifications considered).
  • Strong Excel skills with advanced proficiency.
  • Excellent data analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of UK financial markets and regulations.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in prudential regulatory reporting for a regulated Retail Bank or Building Society.
  • Some experience with Bank Treasury/Cashflow management (nice to have).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to challenge and improve processes and procedures.
  • Ability to create an open environment and inspire contributions from others.
