Trinity House Group is pleased to support an education organisation in Greater Oxford to recruit a Finance Business Partner.
As a key member of the central Finance team, you will ensure effective financial control, proper accounting practices, and accurate reporting of the school's finances.
Role Summary:
You will provide direct support to schools' SBMs and other central Finance team members by:
- Offering training, advice on accounting issues, and operational support.
- Monitoring and supporting regular reconciliation of control accounts, bank accounts, credit cards, and payroll.
- Assisting with budgeting, including reforecasting and preparing 3-year budgets.
- Monitoring performance against budgets and reporting concerns.
- Promoting financial procedures and best practices.
- Managing Trust bank and credit card administration, preparing VAT returns, maintaining the fixed assets register, and posting central journals and internal recharges.
- Maintaining the Finance members area and handling ad-hoc projects.
Desired experience
- Qualified/Part Qualified
- Experience in a Management Accounting/Business Partnering role is essential.
- Preparation of accounts, maintaining control accounts, and related reconciliations.
- Producing financial analysis and reporting.
- Good understanding of financial best practices, controls, and procedures.
- Strong Excel skills.
