- Implement effective purchasing strategies across the company.
- Negotiate with suppliers for favourable terms and pricing.
- Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities.
- Develop a strategic approach for procurement and material management.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
- Ensure adherence to laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior members of the Procurement team.
Profile
A successful Senior Buyer should have:
- A degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration.
- Prior experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry.
- Strong negotiation and networking skills.
- Excellent knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
