A local OMB recognised and associated with the transport / construction industry. This business provides a specialist service to it's customers countrywide. They have a strong business model and have rapidly expanded into a niche market. They have created a new role within their Finance team for an Assistant Accountant to report into the Finance Director based at their Head office in Carlisle.
Your new role
As Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for varied duties including;
- Reconciling and analysing data
- Preparing the daily bank reconciliation and updating the cashflow forecast.
- Prepare monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
- Assisting with month-end routines
- Liaising with suppliers re invoice and paperwork requests
- Processing purchase invoices.
- Processing self-bill invoices and raising sales invoices on key accounts.
- Assisting with credit control.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team, have a desire to learn as well as being a diligent, confident, and professional individual. The candidate must be proactive, show accuracy, attention to detail and take ownership of their tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a minimum of AAT level 2 (equivalent qualifications and candidates qualified by experience will be considered) and have at least 4 years of experience of working in an accounts' environment.
In addition to this, significant experience in Excel is essential and SAGE line 50 experience would be beneficial. What you'll get in return
Attractive annual salary £28000-30000 per annum, dependent on experience
Discretional bi annual bonus
Full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday, 40 hoursStudy Support and study for further formal accountancy qualification CIMA/ACCA 28 days holiday including bank holidays
