They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Audit Director to join their growing team and lead their audit function.

Role Overview:

As an Audit Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing audit engagements, leading a team of professionals, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services. They will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, provide strategic insights, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Their leadership will be crucial in driving the success of the audit practice and maintaining the firm's reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and achieve departmental targets, plan budgets, and allocate resources to align with strategic goals and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Identify and develop value-added services that will enhance our clients' portfolios and support business growth.
  • Network effectively to promote the department, drive new business opportunities through innovative product offerings, and manage outreach initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the audit team, ensuring career progression and professional development. Act as a role model and inspire a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee client-facing and internal communications to ensure clarity, professionalism, and exceptional service delivery.
  • Craft and present compelling tender proposals, engaging with prospective clients to secure new business and expand our client base.
  • Manage department goals, continuously evaluate performance, and identify areas for improvement to drive excellence.
  • Review and refine audit processes and systems to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and service quality.

Key Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified with extensive experience in audit and management within practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with prior supervisory experience and a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Strong technical knowledge in audit and accounting, with a track record of process improvement and system enhancement.
  • Proven ability to identify and develop services that add value, with experience in strategic operations and business development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • A driven, reliable individual with a passion for career progression and a commitment to high-quality service delivery.
