JE134: HSEQ Advisor

Salary: £50,000 Per Annum
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a HSEQ Advisor on behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the provision of Health & well-being within the business, under the direction of the HSEQ Manager
- Support the communication and promotion of the monthly themes.
- Promote the value of occupational health at a local level
- Provide consistent and accurate HSEQ advice to employees
- Provide support to regions on HSEQ initiatives
- Provide support on HSEQ issues/problems
- Contribute to general communications at a local level
- Produce and communicate HSEQ alerts following incidents and poor-quality standards to promote learning and prevention and continual improvement
- Undertake timely investigations
- Keep local and corporate management informed on the status
- Identify root causes
- Produce safety alerts as above
- Monitoring, verifying & reporting HSEQ statistics for regions on a monthly basis as directed.
- Provide monthly HSEQ statistics as directed by the Client
Skills and Qualifications:
- NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent as a minimum but ideally IOSH
- CEnv or equivalent as a minimum but ideally associate IEMA
- Client facing
- Sound knowledge of quality controls associated with company work activities
- Analytical skills to interpret detailed information and regulations
- High standard of written English
- Good communication skills, including a professional telephone manner
- People skills – ability to liaise with staff/operatives of all levels
- Excellent use of MS Office – Word, Excel, and Power-point
- Effective communicator with strong presentation and report-writing skills
- CSCS Safety Professional card
- Able to work as a member of a team, but capable of working alone to tight deadlines as appropriate Pride - sets own high-quality standards, e.g., attention to detail
- Passion for Health, Safety, Environment & Quality
- Lead by/set a good example.
