Pertemps Dudley are currently recruiting for a Production Operative on behalf of our client based in Dudley. As a Production Operative, your responsibilities will include sorting, processing, and preparing metals, ensuring efficient and safe handling of materials. A forklift license is advantageous for this role, as it will enable you to assist with the movement of materials and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and process various types of metals
- Assist with loading and unloading materials
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct quality checks on materials to ensure compliance with recycling standards
- Assist with the operation of forklifts to move and manage materials (if licensed)
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a production environment is preferred
- Forklift license is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices
Hours of work:
- 6am-5pm Monday to Thursday
- 6am-3.45pm Fridays
Rate of pay:
- £11.49 per hour
