Premier Work Support are pleased to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Despatch Assistant/Stock Controller.
We are looking for an immediate start and there may be an opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate, subject to performance, time keeping and attitude.
You would be assisting with placing raw material orders, quality check on receipt of all raw materials, placing into stock, counting stock and issue to Production. To box, label, palletise, stock and count all finished goods prior to and on out loading for onward distribution. To maintain hygiene and housekeeping of the despatch area, with particular focus on stock holding areas.
Accountabilities:
- Assist with quality check of all raw materials (RM).
- Accuracy of RM and finished goods (FG) stock count.
- Assist with the rotation of RM.
- Correct boxing, labelling, picking, storage and safe loading of FG.
- Ensure the safety, quality and legality of all products manufactured on site.
- Support management of company's Quality Management System including HACCP.
- Promoting positive food safety culture within the business.
- Be one of the primary contacts for all deliveries and collections on site.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Food and Packaging storage areas.
- Quality, safety and legality Inspection of inbound RM.
- SAP Stock take.
- Stock transfers during shift.
Skills
- 7.5 tonne Driving Licence (Desirable)
- Maths & English - GCSE or equivalent (Essential).
- Experience using MS Word, Excel or Outlook (Essential).
- Basic understanding of food safety, H&S and chemical control rules. (Desirable)
- Manual Handling Experience (Desirable)
- Previous food industry experience (Desirable)
- Counterbalance FLT Licence (Desirable).
- HACCP Trained and Food Safety managemnet experience (Desirable).
Hours of work:
- 5 days over 7 (Sunday to Friday) - 40 hours per week
- 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
