Our client a leading firm, require a trainee/graduate accountant with ideally six months experience to join their team
You will have experience in a practice (firm of accountants), or strong grades in maths/relevant degree
- Must have sound working knowledge of double entry book-keeping
- Ability to produce basic accounts from incomplete records
- Sound knowledge of accounting software (Sage50C, Sage Accounts Online, Xero)
- Good working knowledge of spreadsheets
- Must have good communication skills
- Use of own caressential
- Self-motivated and responsible
- Good time management skills as maybe working on multiple assignments
JOB DESCRIPTION
As part of a 7 partner practice, you will get involved with a wide variety of tasks such as:
- Preparing accounts for small and medium sized entities including preparation of corporation tax returns
- Preparation of personal tax returns
- Working on audits for various sized clients
- Maintaining client records on Sage (or similar accounting package) and production of management accounts
- Will involve work based both in the office and at clients' premises
- Will involve liaising directly with clients
- Will involve working in London on certain assignments
- Opportunities to progress in the future for those who demonstrate appropriate skills
Qualification
This opportunity would be ideal for someone who is currently studying towards their AAT or ACCA qualification.
