Business Support Officer

Do you have strong administrative and organisational skills for managing operational tasks within a busy and dynamic team? If so, Signature Recruitment is excited to be partnering with our client, for a Business Support Officer.

This is a full time, temporary role with an immediate start, which will run for approximately two months. It is offered on hybrid model with two days in the office and three days working at home and there is a degree of flexibility with working arrangements.

As a Business Support Officer, you will be involved in a wide range of tasks which will include responsibility for managing a shared inbox, dealing effectively and efficiently with queries and signposting when necessary. You will also provide executive assistance to the Director, to include managing their diary and meetings. In addition, you will lead the end-to-end recruitment process and deal with the administration for the starters, leavers and movers and on-board new staff and contractors, confidently greeting in-person on the first day. Other ad-hoc administrative and office duties in order to assist colleagues and senior members of the team with the smooth running of the department.

Business Support Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a key point of contact for communications. Giving an efficient service via shared inbox, MS Teams and in-person queries and signposting when necessary
  • Managing Director's diary and attending meetings and acting as a committee or meeting secretary as and when required and producing well drafted Minutes
  • Leading the end-to-end recruitment process. To include administering the e-Recruitment system, posting vacancies, forwarding applications to the interview panel, arranging for shortlisting and scheduling interviews
  • Managing all administration for starters, leavers and movers and arranging setup for on-boarding of new members of staff and contractors.
  • Managing the Triage Review process. To include maintaining the Triage Review Committee Microsoft Teams site, preparing agendas, documentation, attending meeting and drafting accurate minutes
  • Undertaking general office management. To include the purchasing of equipment and supplies and maintaining inventories of equipment, assets and licenses. Other ad-hoc administrative tasks as required

Business Support Officer Key Skills:

  • A confident and proactive approach to handling tasks, a team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organisation, time management and meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly Proficient IT skills including MS Office package
