Cover Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor for a vibrant secondary school in Highbridge. This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for education and are looking to gain experience within a school setting. While experience in English is advantageous, it is not a necessity for the right candidate who demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and engage with students.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Supervising classes in the absence of the teacher and ensuring that pre-set work is completed.
- Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Assisting students with their work and providing support where necessary.
- Collaborating with teaching staff and contributing to the creation of a supportive learning atmosphere.
- Providing feedback to teachers on student progress and classroom sessions.
- Adhering to school policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive environment for students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to promote discipline and respect.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Confidence in leading a classroom and engaging students in learning activities.
- Flexibility to cover various subjects, with a preference for candidates with English experience.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to education and student development.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree or experience in an educational setting are desirable but not essential.
