Financial Controller

The role:
A newly created Financial Controller role within the company with a look to build and develop a team as the company expand.
Duties:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the portfolio of real estate assets.
- Perform variance analysis, budget forecasting, and financial modelling in Excel.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of statutory accounts, including VAT returns, corporation tax, and capital allowances.
- Oversee all aspects of property accounting, including rent rolls and service charges
- Maintenance of lease schedules.
- Review and reconcile tenant ledgers, accounts receivable, and payable processes.
Requirements:
- A strong and self motivated individual who is happy with a hands-on accounting role.
- Experience in real estate accounting.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS) and property tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Yardi, Bluebox) and MS Excel.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
