About the position

We're growing quickly, thanks to the power of our products and our visionary technology roadmap. As our communications manager, you will help us to break into new markets, power our sales activity and shape our brand.

Key Responsibilities

As our communications manager, you'll work closely with our head of marketing and marketing manager to help deliver our marketing strategy and support our sales activity. You'll do this by owning our copy, comms and content marketing output. As a team, we will share responsibility for the publishing content across social media, email and other channels.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Own and develop our brand tone of voice across all channels and assets.
  • Own and deliver copy across all our sales/marketing assets and channels, to engage, nurture and convert our target customers. This will include managing our website and PPC activity and writing press materials.
  • Own and deliver our internal and external product marketing docs and content, to ensure lenders understand what our systems do and the value they offer.
  • Work with our head of marketing to build frameworks for brand and product messaging, positioning, archetypes and more.
  • Plan and deliver content and communications campaigns.
  • Create assets for sales campaigns.

As a global company, you may be required to take out-of-hours calls with publishers, suppliers and subject matter experts overseas.

This is remote role, with a requirement to visit at our offices in Bath, UK, for key meetings, plus occasional travel to meet suppliers and clients and attend industry events.

Why join Dancerace?

This is an excellent role for a mid-weight copywriter, content marketer or comms pro looking to own and shape an international, market-leading B2B brand.

Working with our head of marketing and our marketing manager, you'll be part of a small, fast-moving and hard-working team that thinks laterally, looks after each other and aspires to be the best in our industry. It's our job to help you to do the best work of your career with us.

Your profile

  • As our communications manager, you will:
  • Have an excellent understanding of marketing strategy, messaging and positioning. Every communication, copy or content asset you create must be aligned with and help us to achieve our marketing objectives.
  • Be a skilled English-language copywriter and proofreader, able to work independently to apply our tone of voice and deliver copy that engages and informs.
  • Be able to understand and communicate complicated technical and financial concepts.
  • Know how to work with and get the most from subject matter experts, to source content for effective sales and marketing assets.
  • Be comfortable with using new specialist marketing systems, including CMS, PPC and video/podcasting tools.
  • Be bold and creative in your work.
  • Have the highest standards for your written work, and ambition and drive to make our marketing team the best in our industry.
  • Work excellently as part of a team. You'll share responsibility for maintaining our marketing channels and will be happy to deliver and take constructive feedback. You'll also work closely with our network of marketing suppliers.

Your experience will include:

  • Demonstrable experience in a copywriting or communications role, with a portfolio that covers a wide range of channels, from strategy through to delivery. You will consider yourself at least a 'mid-weight' copywriter.
  • Working with website CMS (content management) and PPC (pay-per-click) systems.
  • Working in financial services (invoice finance, ABL, trade) and/or B2B SaaS software marketing. You should have experience in helping to sell specialist propositions to enterprise organisations with multiple stakeholders.

Compensation, perks and benefits

  • Salary: £45k-£55k, dependent on experience
  • Working model: Remote/hybrid. Our CEO and core team are based in Bath, but we operate on a hybrid model, for flexibility.

  • Healthcare: Private healthcare and dentalcare
  • Insurance: Critical illness and life assurance cover
  • Support: Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and team Mental Health First-Aider
