Part-Time Payroll Advisor - 3/4days (21 hours to 24 hours) - can offer school hours and one day from home after probation.

We are seeking a Payroll Advisor to work closely with my clients Payroll Manager, ensuring an accurate and efficient payroll function both within the UK and internationally. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in payroll management, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Processing monthly payrolls from start to finish, including RTI submissions to HMRC.
  • Managing employee attendance payments in line with company policies.
  • Assisting with payroll reporting to support HR and business needs.
  • Ensuring all payrolls are delivered accurately and meet audit requirements.
  • Handling statutory payments, attachment orders, and deductions through company benefit schemes.
  • Processing payroll updates for new starters, leavers, transfers, and changes.
  • Implementing sickness and absence controls efficiently and promptly.
  • Calculating and implementing bonus payments and ensuring accurate BACS payments.
  • Serving as the point of contact for escalated payroll queries.
  • Exploring and implementing automated payroll processes and addressing areas for improvement.
  • Assisting the Payroll Manager with end-of-year processes and setup for the new year.
  • Maintaining payroll processes in alignment with legislation and adapting to policy changes.
  • Assisting in training new employees on payroll processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Sound knowledge of managing high-volume payroll across multiple payrolls.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Significant knowledge of UK payroll and auto-enrolment pension regulations.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and devise effective solutions.
  • Competent IT skills, particularly with payroll software.
  • Experience in multiple payroll processing.
  • Qualified to Level 3 or above in business administration, accounting, or finance.
