Group Management Accountant

Our client is a well-respected and high growth group of companies approaching £100m T/O with interests across the Manufacturing, Logistics and Service Industries with business across the UK and Europe.

FRS have been exclusively enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a dynamic Accountant to join the business for a newly created Group Management Accountant / Reporting Accountant vacancy.

This position offers a high level of remote working however would be ideally suited to candidates based or within commutable distance to the Midlands area when attending site meetings.
In this role you will work closely with and support the Group CFO but also have regular interactions with MD's and HOF's in the respective operational business units

Role Overview

Providing comprehensive financial reporting and commercial finance support to subsidiary entities.
Provision of a robust Reporting Framework, ensuring compliance with external regulations and internal corporate governance, whilst providing a structure which encourages organic business growth and profit maximisation.

  • Preparation of monthly group consolidated management accounts, including, data interrogation of subsidiary results, composing detailed board commentary and KPI data analysis;
  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts for the UK European and Holding Companies
  • Assist CFO with group Treasury function, including managing banking relationships, rolling 13-week cash forecasting and ensuring UK operational funding requirements are met;
  • Assist with the group annual budget process, including the provision of suitable templates, preparation of the Parent Company and consolidated budget and compilation of meaningful strategical reports;
  • Group VAT returns and Co-ordination of the UK Group audit process, including the preparation of Statutory Accounts;
  • Draft corporation tax computations to enable accurate QIPS, Payroll administration, P11D's and PSA;
  • Working closely with the Group finance and other operational teams, supporting them in projects and training as required.
  • Ad hoc projects, many of which have involved Business Partnering at various levels.

The ideal candidate will be working towards Qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) if not already qualified and ideally have previous experience gained working across Financial / Management Accounting or Reporting ideally with experience of Group consolidated management accounts.
This position promises to be both varied and challenging and offers great scope to add value and play a key role in group and business unit improvement projects alongside BAU tasks.
Due to the high levels of communication across Group and Business Unit Finance and Leadership teams, excellent interpersonal, communication skills / business partnering abilities are key.

My client has indicated that this position can be offered on either a full or part time ( Negotiable around 28hrs to 33 hrs Per Week)

In return my client is able to offer a competitive basic salary of up to £50,000 + Bonus and excellent benefits can be offered.
