We are currently working closely with a fantastic secondary school in the Cardiff area, looking for an IT teacher to work on a part time basis in the 2025/26 academic year. We are looking for someone with prior experience teaching IT at KS3 and KS4 levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters respect for all individuals.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to enhance the educational experience for students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behaviour.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Qualifications
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles.
- Experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting is preferred.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching are crucial attributes for success in this role.
