IT Teacher

Are you a passionate IT teacher looking to make a difference in young peoples lives? Are you ready for a new challenge working in a friendly and positive school environment? If that sounds like you we'd love to hear from you.

We are currently working closely with a fantastic secondary school in the Cardiff area, looking for an IT teacher to work on a part time basis in the 2025/26 academic year. We are looking for someone with prior experience teaching IT at KS3 and KS4 levels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters respect for all individuals.
  • Assess student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to enhance the educational experience for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behaviour.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles.
  • Experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching are crucial attributes for success in this role.
