Job Title: Power Platform Developer (Contract - Remote)

Rate: £25-£55 per hour

About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Power Platform Developer with a specialisation in Power BI to join a leading consultancy firm on a contract basis. This remote role offers the flexibility to work from home while contributing to impactful projects that drive business insights and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:

Power BI Development:

Design and develop interactive and visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports.

Utilise data modeling, DAX, and Power Query to transform data into meaningful insights.

Optimize report performance and ensure efficient data loading processes.

Data Integration and Management:

Integrate data from various sources including SQL databases, cloud services, and Excel.

Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all Power BI reports.

Manage Power BI datasets, workspaces, and dataflows effectively.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other developers to deliver comprehensive BI solutions.

Provide training and support to end-users to maximise the utilisation of Power BI reports.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices.

Identify opportunities to enhance existing Power BI solutions for better performance and user experience.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of internal Power BI standards and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
- Experience with SQL and database design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
- Must be based in England and able to work remotely.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with advanced Power BI features such as Row-Level Security (RLS), embedding Power BI in applications, and Power BI REST API.
- Knowledge of Azure services such as Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
