and Young People's Service (DCYPS) to join their team based in London.

JOB SUMMARY
The Social Worker will work in the
Children with Disabilities
team, developing and delivering support packages for children with complex needs in collaboration with multi-agency professionals. This is a frontline role requiring strong systemic and restorative practice, with a focus on long-term improvement in the quality of life for children and families.
JOB DESCRIPTION The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
- Delivering statutory social work services to children and families with disabilities.
- Working a varied caseload including referrals, Child in Need (CiN), Child Protection (CP), and Looked After Children.
- Liaising with health and education professionals to ensure coordinated, multi-agency support packages.
- Navigating multi-agency systems and processes with confidence and professionalism.
- Promoting a culture of systemic and restorative practice in all areas of case management.
- Building high-quality, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Upholding the borough's values of inclusion, diversity, and social justice.
- Participating in a hybrid working model, with attendance at the office required weekly and during duty weeks.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Care Act 2014, and related safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to manage complex cases, including risk assessment and care planning.
- Skilled in systemic and restorative approaches to social work.
- Experience in multi-agency collaboration and advocacy.
- Committed to anti-discriminatory practice and inclusive service delivery.
