We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a prestigious and forward-thinking independent consultancy, renowned for their expertise in development and socio-economics. They are looking for a talented Socio-Economics Consultant to join their Strategic Land & Regeneration Team, based in Central London.

About the Role: As part of a leading team of specialists, you will play a key role in shaping the future of some of the UK's most high-profile developments. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality research and analysis to support the strategic and economic case for development.
  • Preparing written evidence for socio-economic impact assessments, covering areas like health, equality, social value, and education.
  • Collaborating with top developers and stakeholders to shape projects that benefit both people and the economy.
  • Using data analysis and visualisation (including GIS) to inform and illustrate your findings (training provided if necessary).
  • Engaging with government bodies to influence policy decisions at both local and national levels.

What We're Looking For: We're looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about the built environment and understands the societal impacts of development.
  • Highly numerate, with strong data skills and an ability to work with statistics to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering top-quality work.
  • A strategic thinker who can consider the broader societal impacts of developments.
  • A strong communicator, comfortable presenting ideas both in writing and in person.
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent), with relevant backgrounds in geography, planning, economics, business, or social sciences, although core skills and commitment are more important than academic background.

What's on Offer: The role comes with a competitive salary and an attractive benefits package, including:

  • 28 days annual leave plus public holidays.
  • A comprehensive training programme.
  • Pension, private medical insurance, quarterly discretionary bonuses, and more following a successful probation period.

Join a Culture of Inclusion: The company is proud of its inclusive culture, welcoming applications from individuals of all backgrounds. They offer flexible working arrangements, a strong commitment to diversity, and full support for candidates with disabilities or long-term conditions who require adjustments during the recruitment process.
