Adoption Social Worker - Carlisle

Are you an experienced Adoption Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and families?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adoption Social Worker to join our team in Carlisle. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous adoption experience to provide essential support and guidance to adoptive families and children, ensuring positive and lasting outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to prospective and approved adoptive families throughout the adoption process.
- Conduct thorough assessments, home visits, and prepare detailed reports for adoption panels.
- Facilitate training and support groups for adoptive parents.
- Work collaboratively with children services, adoption panels, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Provide ongoing post-adoption support to ensure successful placements and family stability.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in adoption social work is essential.
- Recognised social work qualification (e.g. BA, MA in Social Work).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Strong understanding of the adoption process, legislation, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
