We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of FP&A to lead their financial planning and analysis function, providing strategic insights to drive business forward. The evolution of relationships, strategic commercial decisions, team capability and culture will remain the main priority. However delivery of robust and timely reporting, analysis, commentary and challenge to the leadership team on KPIs & financial performance will be key.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Duties will include:

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Influence key decision-making around performance, margins, pricing and customer retention
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, including variance analysis, trend identification, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive financial reports to senior management, highlighting key financial trends and performance indicators.
  • Work closely with the FD and MD to develop and implement new projects
  • Drive the P&L reviews to identify growth opportunities, cost savings and efficiency gains
  • Collaborate with department heads to provide financial support and guidance, helping them understand the financial implications of their decisions.
  • Support strategic initiatives by providing financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and analysis activities.
  • Working closely with the FD, MD and Business Directors, this role will suit someone who thrives as an emotionally intelligent individual who can build relationships quickly and influence key decisions.

The Ideal Candidate will be:

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
  • A personable leader with demonstrable experience within a strategic role
  • Quickly demonstrate a strong understanding of business levers and metrics within a consumer-focused environment
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to hire competent teams
  • From a multi-site logistics, retail or wholesale business
  • Aware of challenges in the market with credible ideas and suggestions
  • Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) ACA is preferable with training from a top accounting firm.
